Johnny Carabiner and the On Belays

My friend J-Gro is opening a rock climbing gym called True North Climbing. He floated the idea of getting the Bad Pixels back together to perform at the opening ceremonies. Given the geographic dispersement that could be tough. Fortunately, he’s willing to take a reasonable facsimile. I think that reasonable facsimile may end up being called Johnny Carabiner and the On Belays. What do you think?

And if the name isn’t cool enough, look at the proposed rock-climbing concept band set list proposed

  • Stairway to Heaven (Led Zeppelin)
  • Don’t Let Me Down (Beatles)
  • Free Fallin (Tom Petty)
  • Knocking on Heaven’s Door (Dylan)
  • Climb Every Mountain (from Sound of Music; is there a punk version?)
  • It’s a Long Way to the Top (AC/DC)
  • Ain’t No Mountain High Enough (Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell)
