Am I Scott Pilgrim?
January 8, 2011My brother got me the Scott Pilgrim DVD for my birthday and said I had to watch it. He wouldn’t go into a lot of details but kept asking me if I watched it. As I watched it I finally realized why – it’s like an unauthorized biography. There are the obvious similarities like the […]
Bokonon: Robo’s Songs
August 28, 2009Check out these two songs I found on one of the hundreds of audio cassettes I’m wondering what to do with. These are a couple songs that Robo wrote in what I think was the year 1991. We started to record them in my basement but had to move out to the garage to finish […]
The Bad Pixels are Blowing in the Wind

On the flight down, I was thinking about how I could progress on the 50 song challenge. Writing lyrics seemed like a good way to make progress, but […]
Get mad – write a song
March 14, 2009Sometime last year my older daughter got mad at her younger sister and cousin; she was feeling excluded. As expected, there was yelling and hitting and other displays of hurt feelings. Punk Rock Dad to the scene! I intervened with, “Do you know what I like to do when I get mad?” This caught her […]
50 Songs per Year
March 10, 2009I set myself a goal to write and record 50 songs this year. That would be pretty cool to do while holding down a day job and helping to raise a family. I want to go work on a song now but I have a cold and should get some sleep. I actually sung myself […]
